Rebuilding Together Mark Saturday, April 25th on your calendar. That Saturday is Rebuilding Day; a day where over a thousand volunteers help needy elderly, low-income, and disabled home owners with the repairs their houses need and that they cannot afford. This year, CAC is working in the Park Circle area of Baltimore City. The house, on Cottage Avenue, is a middle-of-the-row rowhouse. Miss Jeanette, the 86 year old owner has made several exterior improvements through various City programs. We are tasked with repairing as much of the interior as we can in one day. There are several areas where the plaster has sagged or cracked. The kitchen floor needs to be replaced. And the bathroom needs several improvements to make it more usable. You do not have to be a do-it-yourself wizard to help. Painters and cleaners are as important as carpenters. No volunteer is turned down. The work day starts at 8:00 am and continues until 5:00pm or when we’re done. Lunch is provided. And we usually get together for dinner after we’re finished. It’s a hard day… it’s a fun day… just ask someone who has done it. All you need to do is email us and we'll get you the details so you know who to look for from our Club and where to go on the 25th.
